The whole FIT IoT-LAB testbed was closed on February 5th for maintenance and upgrade operations.
During this day we deployed new software; here are the details:
We implemented new features linked to Control Nodes, that let’s you configure them as radio sniffers during experiments. Learn how to use it through this documentation. More details on implementation are documented on GitHub.
New Linux kernel on A8 nodes
Linux kernel of open A8 nodes have been updated to version 3.18.5. Read the Linux nodes tutorial to discover usage and features.
CLI tools upgrade to version 1.5.3

New aggregation tools
Creation of a dedicated repo on GitHub – https://github.com/iot-lab/aggregation-tools. Learn how to use serial_aggregator through this documentation. Learn how to use sniffer_aggregator through sniffer documentation.
As FIT platforms are part of the Onelab Experimental Facility, and to highlight this federation aspect, we updated our website and webportal to follow Onelab and FIT style guides. Moreover, Onelab users can use their email/password to Sign In on the webportal to use advanced features of the testbed.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Paris-Rocquencourt site.
The site of Rocquencourt includes 344 nodes (A8, M3 and WSN430). All A8 nodes are equipped with GPS.

The Workshop Internet Of Things (IoT) and the FIT IoT-LAB tutorials have been a great success. Big thanks to the speakers for the quality of their talks.
We hope than the 70 participants for the Workshop and 35 for the tutorials have enjoyed these days.

Due to FIT Iot-LAB project review by the French National Research Agency, we will book all Grenoble M3 nodes site Thursday 9 October p.m to Friday 10 October p.m
On the other hand you may use Lille or Strasbourg M3 nodes.

After Grenoble and Strasbourg, we have deployed 256 M3 nodes in a new testbed in Inria Lille – Nord Europe. From now, 151 nodes are available for experimentation.
